Paneer Butter Masala

How to Make It

Step 1

In a vessel, add 3 tbsp of oil. After the oil heats up a little, add 500 gms of paneer and saute it slightly.

Step 2

After the paneer turns light brown transfer it into a bowl of salt water and keep it aside.

Step 3

Now add cashews, clove, cardamom, cinamon, ginger, garlic and ½ tbsp of shajira and let it fry for a few seconds. Now you can add 2 chopped onions and 3 sliced tomatoes into the vessel and saute it till it becomes mushy.

Step 4

Once the ingredients become mushy, turn off the stove and let the mixture cool for a few minutes. After the mixture cools down, add it into a blender and blend it into a smooth puree.


Now take a vessel and add 2 tbsp of oil into it along with 1 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of turmeric. After the butter melts add the smooth puree into the vessel.

Step 6

After adding the puree, you should be adding 1 tbsp of salt and 2 tbsp of red chilli powder into the curry along with 1 tbsp of dhaniya powder and ¼ tbsp of sugar.

Step 7

As the gravy starts thickening add the initially soaked paneer and salt water into the vessel and let it cook for ten minutes on a medium flame.

Step 8

When you start to smell the aroma, take off the lid and add coriander and fried cashews as garnish and get ready to eat!
